Wellness Wednesday

We have been blessed to collaborate with Banteay Seri and Ai Acupuncture to offer weekly drop-in healing sessions every Wednesday! We support young Southeast Asian women with healing modalities like ear seeds, sound healing, bio-tuning, qi gong, restorative movements for empowerment and healing.
Healing With Movement
move the qi
“Move the Qi” is a movement meditation based on Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) principles to bring harmony and wellbeing for mind, body, and spirit. QI means Energy; GONG means Cultivation or Work.
Developed by a group of social justice activists during the rise of anti-Asian violence, MTQ helps reduce stress, improve vitality, connect us to the present moment, and build stronger relationships with each other and the universe.
We equip our community with embodiment practices and tools to feel powerful, mindful, and strong. Shooting an arrow is a reflection of the mind, and can be an active meditation and spiritual practice, as well as a physical sport. Thank you Hamida Yusufzai for your training and leadership!

Daoist Neigong
Class 2024
A healing and empowering Daoist Internal Cultivation Qigong series for Asian American Pacific Islanders (AA+PI). This program is led by Sally Chang of Evergreen Taiji Academy and co-led by Sasanna Yee of Communities As One.
Application for our 2025 Qigong cohort is open.
“There was so much that could be unsaid that was tacitly understood; this shared cultural identity was the basis for the group to go deeper into our individual experiences because we all understood the common foundation that held us together.””
“The Daoist Neigong practice allowed us to embody healing; our bodies and spirits were attacked and we reclaimed the safety and sacredness of our bodies through intention movement and mental training. The Daoist Neigong practice scaffolded me in safety, which supported me when I shared in the Listening Circle.”
— Sexual Assault Listening Circle Participant
“We heal in relationship with each other, as a community. It is one thing to confide in a therapist and wonder if what I am feeling is “normal” or if I am “allowed” to feel a certain way about abuse, but to see other people express the exact same emotions and challenges reconciling the abuse with their sense of identity was validating in a profound way. Furthermore, the way that this Listening Circle was held in alignment with Daoist Neigong practice was incredibly powerful.”
Applications Open Until Dec 30, 2024
